An Install Error can happen with Control Mouse. It occurs when the sensor trigger switch is not properly aligned with the arm bar of the snap trap. The SMART device thinks that the switch has been triggered. LED 2 flashes when turning the Controller ON to signal the error and sends a Probable Catch alert. See Image 1 below for what an Install Error looks like.
To fix an Install Error, un-arm the trap and firmly pull the bars away from each other. This will increase the angle between the 2 bars. See Image 2.
Re-arm the trap. See Image 3 for what the positioning of the sensor trigger switch and the arm bar of the snap trap should look like. Press the User Button on the Controller to turn the device ON. LED 1 turns on for 3 seconds. If the problem is fixed, LED 2 will not flash.
